weatherization
Community Action Home’s Weatherization program hires contractors to make
improvements to the homes of low-income people and educates them on comfort
and conservation techniques to enable them to save money on heating costs; it also
repairs and even replaces failing heating systems. During the summer, we repair
and/or replace air conditioners as well as install window air conditioners.
The Cooling Program has allocated all available funding. Additional requests for services are being placed on a waiting list at this time; however, there is no additional funding anticipated.
